How studying agriculture works in United Kingdom

Agriculture is taught at universities and at specialist agricultural universities and colleges. Bachelor's degrees (BSc Hons) usually take three years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and four years in Scotland; many programs offer a placement year on a farm or in industry. Taught master's degrees (MSc) are commonly one year.

Colleges and universities also offer vocational higher education such as HNC and HND qualifications, which can lead on to a degree.
