How studying agriculture works in Ireland

Agricultural degrees are offered by universities and technological universities, many of them jointly with Teagasc, the state agriculture and food development authority, whose agricultural colleges deliver part of the teaching and practical training. First degrees in agriculture generally take four years (some higher-education certificate and ordinary-degree routes are shorter). Teagasc colleges also offer further-education courses for farmers.
